WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (JUNE 8, 2026)—The Carolina Classic Fair’s theme for 2026 is “Red White and Moo,” a nod to America’s 250th birthday celebration this year. The theme was unveiled earlier today at a meeting of the Fair Planning Commission. This year’s Carolina Classic Fair will take place October 2–11 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds.
“Every spring, we unveil a fresh theme that highlights the heart of the Carolina Classic Fair,” Assistant Fair Director Cary Hester said. “With America’s 250th birthday this year, our ‘Red White and Moo’ theme honors our nation while also celebrating the agricultural heritage of our fair. We invite everyone in the community and across the region to mark their calendars for ten days of fun, entertainment and tradition this October.”
The Carolina Classic Fair is accepting food and vendor applications for 2026. Competitive entry dates for contests and exhibits will open July 1, 2026—those interested are encouraged to stay tuned and get ready to showcase their talents.
Volunteer Opportunities Available The fair is also seeking volunteers to help with exhibits and a variety of other areas across the fairgrounds. Volunteers play a vital role in making the Carolina Classic Fair a success each year. Anyone interested in getting involved, making new friends and being part of one of the community’s biggest events is encouraged to apply.
About the Carolina Classic Fair Celebrating its 144th year in 2026, the Carolina Classic Fair is proudly owned and operated by the City of Winston-Salem, having been entrusted to the City by the Winston-Salem Foundation in 1969. Each year, the fair brings together the best in music, mouthwatering food, livestock and agricultural exhibits, fine arts and crafts and a world-class carnival.
